Abyss Trial
The endless-floor challenge that keeps coming up in Discord with nobody quite sure how it works. Here's the whole system in one place: how you get in, how the timer and respawns actually behave, what every 10th floor gives you, and what's waiting at floor 99. Compiled from the official wiki's Abyss Trial page (which is still marked work-in-progress there) and cleaned up into something you can actually plan a run around.
Finish your Daily Quest and one of the rewards is a Tear of the Abyss. That's your entry ticket - same idea as Dungeon Passes for dungeons. The Trial itself floats in the Behind The Grave map, watched over by the Ferryman NPC. Parties of 1–8 players can enter, every member pays a Tear on entry, and you get 3 runs per day maximum.
Each set of floors gives your party 10 minutes to reach and kill the boss on the X9 floor. Hit 00:00 and the whole party gets dumped back to Behind The Grave, run over. Each player also has 3 respawns; use them up and your next death ejects you to Spawn regardless of time. Dying sends you back to the previous break room (or floor 1 if you're still in the first nine floors) - and dying does not reset the timer, so a bad death costs you twice.
How the floors work
Break rooms
Weekly rewards by floor
| Floor 10 | Abyss Essence ×20 |
| Floor 20 | Abyss Essence ×30 |
| Floor 30 | Chaotic Soul ×1 |
| Floor 40 | Abyss Essence ×50 |
| Floor 50 | Chaotic Soul ×2 |
| Floor 60 | Transcendent Soul ×1 |
| Floor 70 | Transcendent Soul ×2 |
| Floor 80 | Transcendent Soul ×3 |
| Floor 90 | Eternal Soul ×1 |
| Floor 99 | Transitive Soul ×3 |
The exact reward pool shifts weekly; this is the floor structure it always follows. Note how deep the Soul rewards run - floors 60+ are one of the few reliable Transcendent Soul sources in the game, which matters directly for the pink-line rerolling process.
Known bosses (X9 floors)
| Floor 9 | Angeling | Summons Jels, heals itself, shoots projectiles |
| Floor 19 | Deviling | Summons Shadow Sprites, shoots projectiles |
| Floor 29 | Goldling | Summons Gilded Slimes; spinning coins across the map that explode on touch or after a few seconds |
| Floor 39 | Big Slime | Lobs goo projectiles that leave damaging puddles; telegraphed charges (sometimes gravity-defying) |
| Floor 49 | Blorp | Summons Blorpghouls; lobs multiple heavy goo-puddle projectiles |
The community is still filling in floors 59–89 on the wiki. If you learn one, add it there - this page rebuilds from the wiki's data.
Floor 99 - the gauntlet
